Tecnologias de governo, família e humanitarismo em um mundo globalizado

Resumen

Neste ensaio, examinamos recentes análises antropológicas sobre a adoção transnacional de crianças, procurando de-monstrar como enriquecem debates não só sobre família, filiação e parentesco, mas também sobre desigualdade e violência, tecnologias de governo em um mundo globalizado e subjetividades variantes diante de dinâmicas multicul-turais. Descrevemos como as preocupações dessa área temática expandiram, nos últimos vinte anos, das sociedades tra-dicionais às metrópoles contemporâneas, das práticas familiares informais às normas legais nacionais e internacionais, de análises que colocam em destaque “a cultura” àquelas que destacam a biopolítica e o contexto pós-colonial. Final-mente sugerimos como, tomando como interlocutores gestores e autores de políticas públicas, muitos pesquisadores se deslocaram de um foco estreitamente disciplinar para um foco calcado em alianças amplas inspiradas no engajamento político e que fita questões de desigualdade, tanto quanto de diversidade.
