Abstract

This paper maps o ut the new forms o f participation and insertion o f Brazilian trade unions, in the cooling o ff context o f its traditional struggle strategies. T h e bibliography review indi­cates that national (and also foreign) trade unions have approached the financial market. T his dialogue is supported by corporate governance, social responsibility, and workers savings defense discourse. Therefore, the conception and, above all, m anagem ent o f pension funds have become part of the agenda for trade unions and trade union centers, which have rein­vented their social place and struggle strategies.
