Cotas eleitorais para mulheres
análise bibliográfica da pesquisa científica nas Ciências Sociais

As cotas eleitorais para mulheres surgem como uma ação afirmativa que visa a alterar o persistente quadro da baixa representação parlamentar feminina. Este artigo apresenta os resultados da pesquisa de revisão sistemática da literatura das Ciências Sociais quanto à avaliação do campo sobre essas ações. As análises tiveram como fonte a base de dados El-sevier Scopus, da qual foram selecionados 33 artigos cujos metadados submeteram-se ao teste de cocitação do softwarebibliométrico VOSviewer. Os resultados identificaram dois clusters referentes às dimensões dos estudos sobre mulheres, cotas e eleições. Dos artigos analisados, 26 apresentam um posicionamento claro em relação às cotas eleitorais para mulheres e a maioria avalia de maneira positiva a efetividade da ação como mecanismo para o aumento da presença fe-minina na política. Os estudos ressaltam que fatores de ordem institucional, social e cultural influenciam diretamente a participação das mulheres nas esferas legislativas de poder.
