Personalidade, participação e contestação
fundamentos psicológicos do comportamento político

Apesar da plausível relação entre diferenças psicológicas individuais e padrões de comportamentos políticos, poucos são os estudos que focalizam esse condicionante do engajamento dos cidadãos em diferentes formas de ativismo cívico. Mais raras são pesquisas que se concentram sobre a relação entre personalidade e as denominadas formas contestatórias de mobilização. Este artigo pretende discutir as razões para essa incipiente produção e os possíveis ganhos com essa interface entre psicologia e ciência política sobre a capacidade explicativa de fenômenos ligados ao comportamento politico geral e, mais especificamente, sobre práticas participativas ligadas ao protesto político.
