Résumé

Il est probable que le risque soit entrain de devenir un thème central pour la modernité. Sa définition conceptuelle est loin de regrouper un consensus, soit dans les milieux scientifiques, soit par rapport au public en général. Le risque en tant qu’objet de recherche est abordé par diverses disciplines, qui présentent parfois des perspectives contradictoires ou antagonistes entre elles. Le domaine d’utilisation du risque est très diversifié et susceptible de multiples interprétations. Dans cet article, après une brève introduction de la notion de risque, nous discutons les différentes perspectives du risque dans la théorie sociale, sans pour
autant négliger les différences et les contributions des autres domaines scientifiques. Le risque peut être considéré comme une entité omniprésente dans nombreuses activités du inonde social et c’est pourquoi Son étude est d’autant plus pertinente dans lés sociétés contemporaines. Lorsque nous nous interrogeons sur «quel est le risque ?», nous vérifions que nous sommes face à une question très complexe, difficile à définir et à objectiver, où les limites et les frontières sont ambiguës, puisque son concept se traduit par plusieurs significations et connotations sociales.
