Readings on the European regionalism and the emergence of the multi-level governance

In a succinct manner, the article introduces the major historiographic and theoretical approaches on the European regionalism. After that, it presents the debate on the European governance as the principal theoretical approach on the process of regionalization. Finally, it characterizes the approach of the multi-level governance emphasizing Piattoni’s dense work on the subject.
