The article system atizes contributions that point tow ards an argumentative model of dynamics of social conflict. These studies share a constructivist view o f social and poliliphenomena, centered on the persuasive aspect of public action and debate. The first paitol the text examines the themes and issues central to this perspective, such as the emergen and characterization of public affairs and unequal participation in public arenas.
