Resumo

Nos últimos 20 anos, a área de partidos políticos, e especificamente a que trata da organização partidária, desenvolveu novas formas de pesquisa e delineou conclusões inovadoras com base em comparações. Ainda que as contribuições clássicas sobre organizações partidárias sejam fundamentais e devam ser apresentadas, o texto busca acrescentar e atualizar a agenda que trata do tema por meio de novas contribuições. Tendo como ponto de partida dois movimentos, um político e outro científico, apresentam-se as escolas de estudos de organização partidária e seu crescimento nos últimos anos. O objetivo é apontar que o avanço da ciência política, como disciplina metodologicamente equipada, tem causado uma mudança na concepção de partido político e na sua agenda de pesquisa.
